Activities

Participants will receive an activity choice form in April 2008. As far as possible they will be allocated to the activities of their choice. Participants will receive their individual programme of activity sessions on arrival at camp. They will not be allocated to activities with their patrol which will give everyone more opportunities to make new friends.

Safety is one of our top priorities and the Guide and Scout Associations rules for joint adventurous activities will be adhered to. All adventurous activities will be supervised by qualified staff and the appropriate ratios of leaders maintained.

    Watersports will take place at Longcraig Scout Water Activity Centre at South Queensferry, close to the famous Forth Bridges.

    A day out at Longcraig will include:-

  • Sailing in Wayfarer, topper or topper vibe dinghies
  • Kayaking in closed cockpit kayaks
  • Windsurfing
  • Raft building
  • Land based activities
